I hate being in a position where I'm more or less actually taking Randy's Hall's side in this debate---since I so often don't in other debates where he figures prominenetly---but this seems like yet another vivid example of why so many cities and towns around the country are not only drawing long (and long-overdue) lines in the sand when it comes to no longer giving unions whatever they're demanding, but also actually winning many of the challenges they're making now where union demands are concerned. Right now, the fire chief in Ketchum makes considerably more money than any fire chief anywhere else in Idaho!!
